The Abia State Government has announced the death of of Sunny Onwuma, the Honourable Commissioner for Labour and Productivity. According to a statement signed by the Commissioner for Information, Prince Okey Kanu, Onwuma passed away in the early hours of Monday, March 3, 2025, after a brief illness. A native of Ihie in Ugwunagbo Local Government Area, Onwuma was an alumnus of Government College Umuahia and Abia State University, Uturu. He was a dedicated member of the Labour Party and a respected leader in his community. He was 61 years old and is survived by his wife and four children. The Abia State Government extended its condolences to his family, friends, and the people of Abia, praying for the strength to bear the loss.
