The New Daily Prime reports that the Trendupp Africa awards celebrate individuals, brands, and organisations making a significant impact through social media.
The award recognises excellence in content creation and digital influence, rewarding those who drive conversations and positive change online.
Among this year’s nominees are well-known figures from various industries. Popular chess champion and education advocate Tunde Onakoya made the list. He is joined by celebrated actresses Bimbo Ademoye, Ruth Kadiri, Nancy Isime, Omoni Oboli, and Regina Daniels.
Also nominated are skit makers and content creators like Sabinus, Taaooma, Brain Jotter, and food critic Opeyemi Famakin. Fashion influencer Enioluwa Adeoluwa, socialite Cubana Chief Priest, and media personality Kie Kie also received nods.
Priscilla Ojo, daughter of actress Iyabo Ojo and a fast-rising influencer, made the list as well, along with entrepreneur and politician Shina Peller.
The Trendupp Awards continue to spotlight talents who use social media as a force for good. The 2025 edition promises to recognise individuals who are shaping culture, promoting innovation, and inspiring their audiences in powerful ways.
Winners will be announced at a ceremony expected to draw top names in entertainment, digital media, and brand communications.
The judges for the 2025 award ceremony are Kelechi Amadi Obi, Sam Onyemelukwe, Ameyaw Deborah and Iyabo Ojo.
