‎Nigeria international Ademola Lookman has become the subject of a transfer tussle between Tottenham Hotspur and Atletico Madrid, as tensions grow between the forward and his Atalanta manager, Ivan Jurić.

‎The 2024 CAF Player of the Year is reportedly open to leaving Atalanta in the January transfer window, with both clubs ready to pounce on the opportunity.

‎Tottenham view Lookman as a dynamic attacking addition capable of injecting pace and creativity into their frontline, while Atletico Madrid are eager to bolster their offensive options with his versatility and experience.

‎According to Fichajes, Lookman has hinted at a possible exit following a heated confrontation with his coach, a situation that has made relations within the team “unsustainable.” The report adds that Atalanta’s board is now willing to listen to offers for the player.

‎Atalanta could consider selling if a club meets their valuation, especially since Lookman’s current contract and form make a move both timely and realistic. The situation mirrors last summer’s transfer saga, when a proposed move to Inter Milan fell through over a €50 million price tag.

‎Both Tottenham and Atletico believe Lookman’s speed, direct style, and proven success across Europe’s top leagues make him an ideal fit for their attacking ambitions.
