Nigeria will next face either Algeria or DR Congo after booking a comfortable place in the quarter-finals with a commanding 4–0 victory over Mozambique in the African Cup of Nation

‎Nigeria secured a place in the AFCON quarter-finals with an emphatic 4–0 win over Mozambique at the Fez Stadium.

‎In the 20th minutes, Ademola Lookman seized control of the match early after being set up by Akor Adams, taking his tally to three goals and four assists in four games.

‎Victor Osimhen doubled the lead five minutes later, reacting quickest in the box before halftime.

‎Nigeria maintained the pressure after the break, with Osimhen scoring again two minutes into the second half from Lookman’s delivery to effectively end the contest.

‎Akor Adams completed the rout in the 75th minute, racing through on the counter-attack and firing into the top corner.

‎ Nigeria into the quarter-finals for the 12th time, a stage they have failed to reach only once since its introduction in 1992.
