Legendary Fuji musician Saheed Osupa has reacted strongly to a prophecy predicting his death, describing it as false and malicious.

New Daily Prime reports that a controversial Muslim cleric, popularly known as Alpha Olopa Meta, had earlier claimed that Osupa would die on January 10, 2026.

The cleric alleged that he had pleaded with God on the singer’s behalf and advised Osupa to buy a large ram for prayers.

Reacting during a live performance on Sunday, January 11, 2026, Osupa dismissed the claim and warned against wishing death on others.

“Fake Alpha and prophet, please don’t wish me dead. Everyone who wishes me dead will die in my place,” the Fuji icon said.

He further cautioned those he described as close, distant, and professional enemies against making such pronouncements.

“Close enemies, unknown enemies, enemies of my career and the ones in my neighborhood, better don’t wish me dead, or you would die before me,” he added.

Osupa’s response drew loud reactions from the audience, with many applauding his stance and rejecting the cleric’s prophecy.
