Fraud Attempt: NNPC sacks Ikorodu pump attendant, suspends manager

Bulk petroleum retailers challenged NNPCL CEO Bayo Ojulari’s claims on Port Harcourt refinery losses, urging President Tinubu to revive public refineries for national growth.

NNPC Retail Limited has announced a series of sanctions against staff at one of its filling stations in Ikorodu, Lagos, following a viral video showing a pump attendant attempting to defraud a customer.

The company, in a press release issued on Friday, described the behaviour as unacceptable and a violation of its core values of integrity and customer service.

Following a prompt investigation, the company confirmed the incident occurred at its Ikorodu station.

In response, NNPC Retail has taken decisive disciplinary measures: the pump attendant involved has been dismissed, the station manager has been suspended, and a formal warning has been issued to the dealer who operates the station.
