‎Liverpool manager Arne Slot insists he is not worried about his job despite growing pressure following his team’s humiliating 4–1 home defeat to PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

‎The Anfield crowd witnessed yet another disappointing performance as Liverpool slumped to their ninth loss in their last 12 matches across all competitions.

‎Speaking at his post-match press conference, Slot admitted the seriousness of Liverpool’s current slump but maintained that he is not losing sleep over his future.

‎“I am not worried. My focus is on other things rather than thinking about my own position. I know I need to do better,” he said.

‎“I speak with the Liverpool hierarchy we have our conversations but they don’t call me every minute to tell me they trust me. We talk normally, and I feel their confidence. I haven’t spoken to them after this game yet, so we’ll see.”

‎Slot expressed shock at the magnitude of the defeat given the quality within the squad.

‎“This is very unexpected when you look at the players we have,” he said.
‎“Is it a lack of confidence? I didn’t see that in the first half. This isn’t the mentality these players have shown since I arrived.”

‎The Dutch manager will now look to put things right as Liverpool prepare to face West Ham in London.
