‎Chelsea attacker Cole Palmer is set to miss the next two Premier League matches as well as the upcoming Champions League meeting with Barcelona next week.

‎Head coach Enzo Maresca confirmed that Palmer fractured a toe, ruling him out once again. The 23-year-old had only just resumed training after spending two months on the sidelines with a groin issue.

‎ The latest setback reportedly occurred at home, where he is said to have stubbed his toe against a door late at night.

‎As a result, Palmer will sit out Saturday’s match against Burnley, the home clash with Barcelona on Tuesday, and next weekend’s encounter with league leaders Arsenal.

‎“He definitely won’t be available for tomorrow, for Barcelona, or for Arsenal,” Maresca stated.

‎His 2025/26 campaign had previously shown signs of promise. The young playmaker had been heavily involved in Chelsea’s attacking play, delivering key moments across matches.

‎ His most recent outing, however on 20 September 2025 ended in disappointment as Chelsea fell 2–1 to Manchester United at Old Trafford.

‎Across 12 appearances in all competitions, Palmer has contributed 5 goals and 2 assists.
