John Krasinski: The Unlikely Sexiest Man Alive

In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, John Krasinski reveals his shock and humility upon being crowned 2024’s Sexiest Man Alive.

“I had a total blackout – zero thoughts, except maybe ‘I’m being punked!'” he jokes.

Best known for his iconic roles in The Office and A Quiet Place, Krasinski, 45, prefers his life outside the spotlight – as a devoted husband to Emily Blunt, 41, and father to their daughters Hazel, 10, and Violet, 8.

“Being a husband and dad is my favorite role,” he shares.

“I love binge-watching Netflix documentaries and reading bedtime stories to my kids.”

Blunt was overjoyed when Krasinski broke the news, jokingly promising to wallpaper their Brooklyn home with his PEOPLE cover.

“That’s a binding contract!” Krasinski laughs.

From The Office to A Quiet Place and Jack Ryan, Krasinski’s versatility has solidified his status as a top Hollywood filmmaker. His latest project, IF, showcases his talents as writer, producer, director, and star.

Despite initial doubts – “Someone asked, ‘Is Jim from The Office directing this?'” – Krasinski has proven himself, next starring alongside Natalie Portman in Fountain of Youth.
