A former Senate Majority leader, Jonathan Zwingina is dead. He was aged 70 years. The Adamawa State-born politician reportedly died on Wednesday in Abuja. However, his death has not been formally confirmed by the family, but dependable sources, who confirmed that the liberal politician has passed on, described his demise as a great loss to the Nungurala people, Adamawa State, and Nigeria as a whole. Senator Jonathan Zwingina was a founding member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who represented Adamawa Southern Senatorial District on two terms (1999-2007) but later defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
