A journalist with Ozisa FM, Chinonso Ubah, has been remanded in prison following his arrest by the police.

An Owerri magistrate court in Imo State ordered Ubah to be remanded in prison following his arraignment by the police on Wednesday.
Operatives of the Imo police command arrested Ubah on October 21 for allegedly defaming Aboki Danjuma, the state’s commissioner of police.

Uba was also accused of cyberstalking and inciting the public to burn the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) study centre in Mbano.

His case has been adjourned to November 12 at magistrate court 5 in Owerri, the state capital.
