Victor Osimhen stands on the brink of securing another CAF Player of the Year crown after being named among the final three contenders for the prestigious award.

‎The Galatasaray forward will battle Egypt’s Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) and Morocco’s Achraf Hakimi (Paris Saint-Germain) for Africa’s highest individual honour.

‎Osimhen is also considered one of the favourites to reclaim prominence in African football following his standout performances since AFCON 2023.

‎In the women’s category, Nigeria’s captain Rasheedat Ajibade has been shortlisted once again, alongside Esther Okonkwo. They will compete for the award with Morocco’s Ghizlane Chebbak and Sanaa Mssoudy.
