Head Coach Justin Madugu has unveiled a 25-player squad for the Super Falcons ahead of their international friendlies against the Cameroon women’s national football team in Yaoundé. The double-header encou nter forms a key part of Nigeria’s build-up to the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), which will be hosted in Morocco. The continental tournament will also serve as the qualification pathway for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup, adding greater significance to the team’s preparations. Meanwhile, New Daily Prime reported that the Super Falcons have suffered a setback in their WAFCON build-up after their planned four-nation warm-up tournament was called off. The cancellation is expected to slightly disrupt the team’s early competitive preparations, making the Cameroon friendlies even more important.
